Seeing recurring gaps in staffing quality, site engagement, and operational scalability, Walker went on to build one of the industry’s most specialized clinical-research staffing agencies—supporting CROs, sponsors, and biotech companies with high-performing CRAs, project managers, and clinical operations professionals. He also established a national footprint across the research-site ecosystem, partnering with some of the most productive networks in the United States and improving feasibility, study start-up, and sponsor–site connectivity.

After supporting dozens of trials across multiple therapeutic areas and building CRA teams for numerous CROs, Walker founded Avetra to bring his operational philosophy into a full-service model. Avetra stands on principles of transparency, site-centric execution, data-driven oversight, and uncompromising operational excellence—setting a higher standard for the modern CRO.

She holds a Master of Science in Project Management, a Master of Healthcare Administration, a Graduate Certificate in Leadership, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. This blend of scientific expertise, operational insight, and leadership training positions her as a multidimensional leader capable of navigating the growing complexity of modern clinical trials.

Across her career, Jami has built a strong reputation for developing high-performing teams, optimizing workflows, and implementing efficient, scalable systems that support quality and regulatory rigor. With experience on both the site and sponsor sides, she is adept at bridging gaps, fostering alignment, and driving consistent execution across cross-functional research teams.

At Avetra, Jami applies her broad expertise to operationalize studies with exceptional efficiency and forward-thinking innovation. She plays a key role in shaping the CRO’s operational strategy, strengthening collaboration, and championing approaches that enhance quality, streamline processes, and support long-term partnership success. Her leadership continues to bring clarity, structure, and strategic direction to the programs she oversees—advancing Avetra’s mission and elevating standards in clinical research.

Darian Trojacek, MSc

Chief Business Officer

Darian Trojacek began her research career more than eight years ago at the University of Texas at Arlington, contributing to NIH-funded projects and innovative cardiovascular imaging studies that led to multiple peer-reviewed publications. During this time, she developed a strong foundation in clinical research methodology, data integrity, and academic collaboration.

She later moved into sponsor-initiated clinical trials within a private practice, where she broadened her expertise across feasibility assessments, regulatory submissions, site initiation, patient recruitment strategy, and the development of compliant, operationally sound contracts and budgets. This hands-on site experience gave Darian a deep understanding of both the operational and relational dynamics that shape effective site–sponsor partnerships.

As her career evolved, Darian discovered a passion for business development—identifying strategic opportunities, cultivating meaningful relationships, and helping research organizations grow with purpose. She has since worked with a diverse range of healthcare practices and research groups to expand their capabilities, improve operational frameworks, and establish collaborations that drive long-term value.

Today, Darian carries that mission forward at Avetra, where she supports the CRO’s strategic business development and partnership initiatives. In this role, she strengthens relationships between sites and sponsors, enhances alignment across stakeholders, and ensures Avetra delivers exceptional value through efficient processes, clear communication, and lasting partnership success.
